Emma Reich (BS Molecular Environmental Biology, UC Berkeley) and David Failing (BS Mathematics, Truman State University, PhD Mathematics, Iowa State University) will join the Ogle Lab in summer 2020. Both will start the PhD program in Informatics and Computing in Fall 2020, under the T3 option in Ecological and Environmental Informatics. Emma will work with Kiona and Kym on the “Ecohydrological controls on evapotranspiration across a semiarid elevation gradient” project, and David will work with Kiona and Dr. Jay Barber, likely on projects related to applying the stochastic antecedent modeling (SAM) framework to ecological time-series data.
