PhD candidate, Emily Palmquist, was awarded a Sigma Xi Grant in Aid to support her research on interactions between heat- and water-stress in riparian plants. Specifically, this research explores whether local adaptation to climate can influence physiological responses to flooding in native riparian plant species.
