Dr. Samuels-Crow (lead PI) and Dr. Ogle were awarded and NSF Hydrological Sciences grant, “Ecohydrological controls on evapotranspiration across a semiarid elevation gradient,” to evaluate the drivers of evapotranspiration (ET), evaporation (E), and transpriation (T) using a combination of field measurements, isotope techniques, statistical modeling, and process-based water balance modeling. The work will be conducted in collaboration with Drs. Marcy Litvak and John Bradford, and will utilize Dr. Litvak’s suite of eddy flux towers in New Mexico and apply Dr. Bradford’s SoilWAT model. Will be recruiting undergrads and graduate students to work on this project beginning fall 2019.
